My 1967 Firebird had several issues. The guys did a fantastic job on all of the repairs. Car drives great! Will be back.
I cannot say enough about Hardcore on the restoration job on my mom's 1966 Mustang Convertible GT.......
My brother and I purchased the car as a gift for her 75th birthday. It was the car that my father purchased for her when they returned back to the states after being stationed in Germany. Unfortunately, they had no choice but to sell the car once they started a family - I guess the rest is history. He always talked about buying her another convertible GT, but I guess it was never in the cards after putting us through college. Once he passed I told my brother we would find mom a red on white 1966 convertible GT just like the one they owned. With Hardcore's help, we were very fortunate to find the right mustang in Ohio. They were very helpful with the purchase and negotiations. Never charged us a dime for their time.
Once the car arrived, the guys went through the car from bumper to bumper and gave us an exact breakdown of what was needed. The report was very thorough and detailed. During the restoration process, we always remained in the loop. Upon delivery we were blown away with the fantastic job that they did. Great attention to detail, and then some.
The big day came upon us and we presented it to mom at a party(we had over 50 or so friends and family attend). She cried and laughed - told us that when dad was alive they drove down the California Coastal Highway in 68. Incredible night with many great memories.
In any event, if you ever plan on restoring a classic car, do your research and don't settle for mediocre. The guys at Hardcore were honest, friendly and humble. Very refreshing considering options in the NOVA area. Second, after reading some of the negative reviews about Hardcore here on Google, I'm a little confused to say the least - furthest from the truth. From our experiences above, I'd give them 5 stars across the board without a second thought.
Have done 10+ project cars in my life and the one I did was with Hardcore! Full restoration on a 1973 Ford Bronco.....quite simply awesome! Greta shop, great guys and my truck came out better than I ever imagined! Highly recommend, these guys!
I've had nothing but great experiences from Hardcore Hotrod's and from Alfredo himself. I've had my Impala in there on a few occasions, been to a customer party or two, talked with other customers, and their employees'. Everyone has been honest and professional. Hardcore Hotrod's diagnosed and solved an engine problem in one day that three other shops could not solve, including a "Highly Qualified" dealership. Then they were able to modify my specialty computer program when no one would touch it, including the shop in California that wrote it. Every other time I've been to Hardcore Hotrod's, the work has been on time and on budget, and exactly what they said it was. The best part has been the respect paid to our veterans - myself and other customers I have met in the shop. This is a Class-A operation.
My 69 Skylark 350 needed some help for a while now, but I finally reached a breaking point and decided to have some professional work done. It’s been in the family since new, so I was VERY careful selecting a shop. After a visit and tour with the owner, I dropped off the car that day. They gave me a detailed report and some options depending on just how far I wanted to go. Ended up fixing some of the frame/door alignment issues, swapping the carb with a more modern edelbrock, and upgrading most of the cooling system that was giving me issues.
The 350 runs better than ever and I finally feel like I’ll be able to keep this thing around for another couple decades! The techs and owner seemed passionate about their work, which is probably what sold me the most. The new shop is looking great, and has got to be one of the biggest you’ll see (definitely the in the area). Having a place I can trust to take it to for body and paint is priceless also, they actually had a really nice GS455 with new paint that gave me a few (too many!) ideas.
Good experience, and nice friendly staff that really seems to know what they are doing. They did a great job on my camaro, had an engine rebuild with some electrical work. Really glad I was able to get this work done and get my car back out in this nice weather. Thanks for the help.
They did a great paint job on my chevelle. Staff was nice, fair pricing
I would like to give a shout out to Hardcore Hotrods for doing another fine job with one of my vehicles. I had a 2012 Mustang GT that Hardcore did some performance work too....lowered it, installed intake and exhaust and tuned for me. Unfortunately I don’t have that car anymore. Well the other day my new Jeep Wrangler that they lifted for me was in a fender bender. Dropped it off at Hardcore and they took care of me from beginning to end. Highly recommend them to anyone!
I would like to take this moment to thank all the guys at Hardcore for doing such a wonderful job on my 1969 Camaro. The paint and body work looks incredible! Way beyond my expectations both on quality and my budget. I've had other work done at other shops in the area but nobody comes even close to these guys in experience and craftsmanship. I will be bringing back my Camaro for some performance upgrades here in the near future. Keep up the fantastic work. You guys rock!
I would like to thank Hardcore Hot Rods for all their hard work and patience on the High quality paint job done on my 73 Formula Firebird. The work was well done with attention to detail. As most restorations go not everything was perfect however after working with the shop all the little details were hammered out and a sweet ride was on its way - later won a trophy at local car show as well as hundreds of likes and comments online. If you want show quality work I would give them a shout.
